OFFICIAL STATEMENT: TOMMY DREAMER RULED OUT OF WRESTLERAMA FOLLOWING VICIOUS ATTACK; MASSIVE REPLACEMENT SIGNED TO FACE WAR READY MALEKO
TOLEDO, OH — Championship International Wrestling (CIW) officials have issued an urgent medical update regarding reigning CIW National Heavyweight Champion Tommy Dreamer, alongside a blockbuster match announcement for WrestleRama on Saturday, November 8th.
Following a brutal, unprovoked post-match assault orchestrated by War Ready Maleko and his manager, the “Potentate of Hate” Abdul Farooq, at CIW’s Haunted Havoc, Dreamer was subjected to extensive evaluations by CIW medical personnel. Officials have officially confirmed that Tommy Dreamer has not been medically cleared to compete and has been ruled OUT of action for WrestleRama in Toledo, Ohio. As a direct result, Dreamer will not appear at the event.
However, any celebration by Maleko and Farooq will be short-lived.
CIW executives worked tirelessly behind closed doors to ensure the fans in Toledo receive a main-event-caliber collision—and a signed contract is officially in place.
War Ready Maleko will not be receiving the night off. Instead, he will step into the ring with a destructive powerhouse: former IMPACT/TNA Wrestling superstar, KONGO KONG.
Standing as one of the most terrifying, unstoppable forces in professional wrestling history, Kongo Kong brings a global reputation for pure carnage. Maleko may have sidelined the hardcore legend Tommy Dreamer, but his actions have now unleashed a massive, chaotic threat upon himself. On November 8th, two destructive titans will collide in a ring where something must break.
Updated Match Card Feature:
- Singles Collision: War Ready Maleko (w/ Abdul Farooq) vs. Kongo Kong
CIW medical officials remain optimistic regarding Tommy Dreamer’s road to recovery, targeting a potential return to in-ring competition this December to defend his CIW National Championship.
Tickets and event information for WrestleRama are available now. Fans are encouraged to follow CIW's official website and social media channels for further roster announcements and card updates.
